  • Elvis, thank you for your kind words. I knew when I first started reading these posts that it would take a nasy turn,but I read them anyway. I also believe that racism will always exist to a degree,and that makes me sad. It broke my heart when I first heard about the policemen in Oakland.

  • Tom, I am a black woman living in Ala for the past 13 years. I have been married to the same man for over 36 years and we worked hard raising our children to be honest upstanding citizens. In fact 4 of our kids proudly serve in the military(all of them spent time in either Iraq or Afghanistan).

  • KatGirl- It's really sad on your part to try and turn this into a racial issue. Perhaps you forgot about Susan Smith(a white woman) or Andrea Yates(also a white woman). Seems like their legs were open just as much if not more than this young girl.
